How long has DIAMOND TRACK™ been on the market?
Our first release was in 2001. Our current version is release 4.
What language is DIAMOND TRACK™ written in?
DIAMOND TRACK™ is developed using Microsoft's most powerful development platform called .NET. Most of our development is with the programming language C# (c sharp). Our backend database is Microsoft's powerful SQL Server.
Can DIAMOND TRACK™ run on a Mac?
Nativity no. However you can easily run DIAMOND TRACK™ on a Mac using one of several virtualization products such as VMWare. When using these products DIAMOND TRACK™ can run very well on a Mac.
Is DIAMOND TRACK™ easy to learn?
Yes. In fact we believe there is no other software for the Diamond and jewelry trade that is easier to learn and use.
Can I get a demo disk of DIAMOND TRACK™?
We do not have a demo version of our software. The reason for this is because our software requires a number of installation steps including the preinstallation of the .NET framework and MS SQL Server data engine before installing DIAMOND TRACK™. It is because of these installation complexities that we do not offer a user installed demo version. The only software that can be installed this way are ones using older style and less powerful databases such as Access or FoxPro. We can, however, provide a detailed one-on-one "online" demonstration for you. Please call our office at (212)682-5301 to schedule a demonstration.
Can data from my old system be transferred into DIAMOND TRACK™?
We have many customers who have switched from other software systems. We usually convert account information such as customer lists, supplier lists and inventory information. We do not convert transactional data such as invoices and memos due to the complexities and differences between the ways systems store transactions. However, after we convert the account and inventory information the user can manually replicate their open memos and invoices very rapidly. We recommend that the customer keep their old system running on one PC for historical data.
Can I export my information to Excel?
DIAMOND TRACK™ provides several ways to export data from your account list, inventory, and reports, including Excel and PDF formats.
Can I e-mail my inventory lists to customers?
Very easily. You simply click an E-mail checkbox and select the recipient from a drop-down box, press print and your report is automatically converted to a PDF document and sent as an attachment.
If I have an office overseas can they also work on DIAMOND TRACK™?
Yes. We have several customers with overseas offices using DIAMOND TRACK™ remotely. They simply set up a remote desktop connection to their server running Terminal Services and they will have full access to
DIAMOND TRACK™. While the speed is not as fast as being in the office it is reasonably fast and is very reliable.
Can DIAMOND TRACK™ update my inventory on my website?
If you have an existing website with your inventory on it we can develop an automatic inventory feed utility that will automatically send the data and certificate images to your web server. Your website developer will need to create a simple program to pick up the data file and integrate on your website.

Can DIAMOND TRACK™ send my inventory to RapNet and Polygon?
Yes. DIAMOND TRACK™ can generate inventory and certificate image files for RapNet, Polygon, DDC, and IDEX Online. DIAMOND TRACK™ can also generate data for BlueNile if you have a relationship with them.
How often do you update DIAMOND TRACK™?
We provide several updates to DIAMOND TRACK™ during the year. These updates consist of new features, enhancements to existing features or bug fixes.
How good are your support services?
Having excellent technical support is as important as having excellent software. We offer both. We provide simply the BEST technical support available to the trade. <p>Our support technicials are experts

How is the software installed and how is training provided?
We can easily remotely connect to your computer and install the program regardless of your physical location. Remote training works very well as we can establish a connecttion to you so our trainers can share your screen while conversing over the telephone.
